Hey and welcome to another one of these.

As much as I love making and following plans, sometimes things just get in the way and all your notoriously crafted plans end up in the trash. This stuff is... pretty hard for someone like me to deal with. But it doesn't take long, before I make new plans and try to see things from the new perspective.

Here's what happened: My spouse and me had a two week vacation through west and south Germany planned to finish our Visit every German state in 2025-Challenge. Everything was planned out, everything was booked, it started off great, too! But then, on the fifth day of our trip, my spouse broke their ankle and we had to stop our travel. Not just stop, I had to cancel as many bookings as I was able to and book some new hotels around the area to make sure I could stay with them while they are in the hospital.

I realized quickly, that our Challenge of visiting every german state in 2025 would fail now and so would all the activities I had planned for the rest of the year. In this week I learned a lesson: Making plans and making backup plans is fun, if all kinda works out, but if you end up with a situation where not even Alternative Plan C or D will work out with, you always have to keep in mind that Plan 0 will remain a possibility. The default plan - go home and do nothing.

Well, that's not entirely true either... Because going home and doing nothing is a very unrealistic scenario, at least for me. It took me a few days, but now I see the new situation as a chance. Sure, the cancelled travel plans suck, but since I can't change that anyway, I should instead focus more on what I can change.

The travel plans for the rest of Germany are moved to the next year now. The good news is, that we will have more time for South Germany now, because I can plan with a lot more vacation days and more time again. We won't be able to beat our challenge - but who cares about this if it means, we can spend more time in other locations, experience more adventures and overall feel less rushed?

More time for me and my partner at home also means, we can finally focus more on all those series and movies we wanted to watch but never had time to do so :D
And I can also focus more on projects that require me to be home in front of my computer.

Let's talk about KleederBros first. Now that I am finally staying home again more often, me and Ole will most likely find time to record more Mario and more Minecraft again. We're getting there!

My music projects went great in the past months. First, I performed live at Chipwrecked Festival in August. A video of my set will get released in late December on my YouTube channel.
I also did music for the Week of Charity 2025, which you can find on the new WoC-specific Bandcamp page.
Apart from that, I am mostly focussing on covering music for BotB's Decadent Decade II, which is an opportunity to cover on-site entries once every ten years. I can't miss out on that ;)

My writing progress is going well btw. And by well I mean, it is going as planned. Slow but steady. I finished chapter 7 recently, which means I have officially written half the chapters of book one! I want to keep that momentum going and finish off two more chapters this November. And hopefully stay on track with finishing the first part of my novel by the end of the year :o
If I manage to do that, I can finally start with the main story next year. That would be amazing.
For your information, I finally added my short story Geflüsterte Gedanken to this website. You can check it out here at the bottom of the page.

And last thing I wanna do is to talk about travel another time. Our england trip from this summer still needs a video. This is something I want to focus on this month (and maybe next month, too). Other videos, like the Germany VLOG, will have to wait until next year, as I explained in the beginning of this blog.

You might know the Worldmap on this website. I updated it a little, so if you click on a country now, you get info about the videos I made about my travel to that country as well as some additional info. The main issue with this page is, that it still feels a bit less usable than I want to. Especially the map navigation on mobile isn't great.

That's why I decided to use a third party app to archive and present my trips. You can now find me at FindPenguins. In the next days and weeks, I will slowly add my previous travels to the page with as much information as I remember. And for future trips, I'll make sure to log them there. I think, this is a much better way to do it instead of using my own solution with the worldmap. At some point, I will also replace the worldmap page with a redirect to my FindPenguins account.

Okay, that should be it for now. I have some months coming up where I will sit at home a lot, so hopefully this gives me enough time to work on more projects after this hectic and pretty full year of activities. Have a great autumn and christmas time, everyone. See you soon with another update.
As always, thanks for reading my blog!
